Tevopharm Pack201 Flow Wrapper with Demaurex Presto Top Loader

Tevopharm, a Bosch Packaging Technology company, is exhibiting its food industry-focused Pack201 horizontal wrapper, which is combined with a Presto Top Loader Delta Robot for secondary packaging from Demaurex, another Bosch Packaging Technology company.

The Pack201 is ideal for tray packaged bakery items, such as biscuit stacks, crackers, chocolate candies, as well as frozen confectionery. The mid-range speed machine is easy-to-maintain and designed for delicate product handling. Its smart design incorporates minimal parts to increase reliability, minimize maintenance, and allow for greater adaptability.

The infeed, finwheels, and cutting head on the machine are cantilevered and a stainless steel execution is available. The stainless steel execution facilitates applications requiring high levels of sanitation, such as frozen and chilled food. The Pack201 can operate as a standalone machine or be integrated with other packaging equipment such as Delta Robots for secondary packaging or product handling, and various infeed modules. Its speed ranges from 10 to 250 packages per minute.

The Demaurex Presto Top Loader collates and places products into cartons, cases or trays with the speed and precision of a Delta Robot. Capable of delicate product handling with vacuum cup end-effectors designed to pick up almost any kind of product, the Top Loader features advanced tracking for precision placement.

The new Gemini 3.0 Software allows simulation of new production processes and products on a virtual machine. Consequently, products do not have to be provided before the actual start of production. This results in shorter installation times and increased efficiency. A 3-D view enables operators to adjust and optimize pick-and-place patterns and other settings for each product in an intuitive manner. All individual parameters can be saved and recalled if required. The software and tool-free changeable form sets, like end-effectors, guarantee changeover time of less than five minutes.

The Pack201 is the first in a series of new generation flow wrappers from Bosch Packaging Technology, developed using the company’s worldwide base of knowledge and expertise. Bosch has also developed a second machine, Pack401 that incorporates a similar design and implementation process ensuring that challenges and solutions from around the world are addressed.
