Press-conference, dedicated to the opening of the exhibitions Rosupak-2007, Luxpack-2007, Alumpack-2007, Pharmapack-2007, Packmash-2007, Foodmash-2007

On June 26, 2007 there started working the exhibitions Rosupak-2007, Luxpack-2007, Alumpack-2007, Pharmapack-2007, Packmash-2007, Foodmash-2007, organized by Joint Stock Company “International Exhibition Company”. All these specialized exhibitions are held simultaneously in Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre and they are the largest events of packaging industry in Russia, Eastern European and CIS countries.

At the exhibitions there are presented the main world manufacturers of package, packaging materials, tare and auxiliary packaging means from 37 countries of the world. The exhibition also traditionally demonstrates warehousing and logistics, handling equipment, package for all industries.

On June 26 there was held press-conference dedicated to the opening of the exhibitions. In the conference there took part: Keith Pearson, President of World Packaging Organization (WPO); Vladimir Chuikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GOTEK Group, President of Rosupak-2007 exhibition; and organizers of the exhibition: Andrey Lapshin, President of MVK (International Exhibition Company) and Alexey Shaburov, Director General of MVK (International Exhibition Company).The event was aimed at indicating the main priorities, directions and tasks of the exhibition. At the conference there was read the programme of events which this year included the International summit Modern package: analytics, innovations, creative.

Vladimir Chuikov, President of Rosupak-2007, noted in his speech, that we should understand in what world we live, and on what historical eve. By 2027 world GDP will have transferred its core to South-Eastern Asia. It is a movement of technologies from the West to the East and Russia plays a great role in this process. Packaging industry is one of the fields which will foster GDP growth in future. Despite numerous problems of the present packaging industry it will be developed without any doubts. And here one should pay special attention first of all to innovations and new technologies.

In this connection Alexey Shaburov, Director General of MVK (International Exhibition Company) noted: “As organizers we have the following task – to bring to the exhibition as much technologies and innovations as possible, and to stimulate their further consolidation and development”.

Media representatives were interested in new projects, among which there is Pharmapack-2007 exhibition, dedicated to pharmaceutical and medical package. This exhibition will be held for the first time this year. The organizers are sure that the project will be developed in future as pharmaceutical package market is at the stage of growth now and specialists consider it as one of the most perspective and attractive for investments.
