Brueckner at Interplastica 2007: Booth FD 39
At Interplastica 2007 (Booth FD 39) the Brueckner Group will present solutions that will help the plastic film industry in Russia and the CIS to stay ahead of the game.
Film stretching lines: Higher output, utmost efficiency and flexibility
Film producers` demand for higher speeds led to the next generation of Brueckner Brueckner BOPP lines, tuned to perform on 525 m/min - already successfully on stream. Brueckner is first to bring such lines to the market allowing the customers to streamline their production at lower costs and higher output especially at thin gauge films.
The conventional process of sequential stretching has been modernized and further developed to use new resins needing different process settings or offer a wide range of flexibility in both - product changes and even polymer changes in several niche markets. Brueckner`s latest solutions include flexible multi-purpose lines, suitable for various combinations of PLA, PP, PE, PS, PET-G, COC, PVC to meet customers` demands.
Speciality films: new products & new applications
The market for high quality packaging is increasingly demanding films as a replacement for laminate structures. The call for the replacement of aluminium foil, paper, PVDC coated films, and PVC sleeves is a challenge for companies involved in the production of biaxially oriented film.
Brueckner offers line concepts and latest process technologies for the production of various new types of high quality oriented films:
• Co-extruded EVOH-based high barrier films: 3-, 5-, 7-layer
• High gloss and high transparency film
• White opaque films with high modulus
• Shrink film for labels and sleeves
• High performance cigarette film
• Multi-functional films
Enhanced R & D avtivities
To further support film producers with their film development activities, Brueckner has extended their technology centre. Customers are able to profit by renting these facilities for their own film and resin development:
• Extension of the Pilot Line: an additional highly flexible machine
direction orienter (MDO) unit with multi-gap stretching which allows film production using sequential stretching technology. Thus, all types of film using a wide variety of resins can be manufactured by switching over from simultaneous to sequential mode.
• Brueckner has further enhanced its well proven laboratory stretching unit KARO IV for monoaxial and biaxial film orientation: Three oven modules assure a most realistic simulation of production conditions.
Brueckner Servtec
At Interplastica, Brueckner Servtec, the after sales und upgrading division, will present various solutions for the efficient and cost-effective operation of recently commissioned lines. Servtec`s experts will demonstrate diagnostic tools such as teleservice, and also maintenance of chain track systems, procedural optimisations and software-upgrades.
Brueckner Formtec
• Newly developed PET cast film technology with electrostatic pinning for speeds up to 100 m/min. Main applications for the films between 125 and 1.000 µm are the rapidly growing form-fill-seal (FFS) markets.
Production output up to 4 to/h or 28.000 tpa.
• New twin screw extruders for PET virgin resin and post consumer bottle flake.
• Latest CPP-line concepts with working widths up to 6 m. Highlight is the integrated design for compact lines with optimal ease of use and safety.
