New Bosch SVI Wrapper’s Efficient Retrofitting Capabilities Offer Higher Bag Style Flexibility
-
Easy retrofitting of corner seal unit - Low machine height enables higher production speed and increases Overall Efficiency Equipment (OEE)
- Ideal low entry model with multiple retrofitting options
The machine’s low height and the numerous retrofitting options make the new SVI vertical bagger series from Bosch Packaging Technology ideal for a wide range of food and non-food applications.
This combination allows the intermittent SVI machines to
produce bags with corner seal and doy style bags with optional zippers. For corner
sealing, the manufacturer can upgrade the machine with an additional modular unit
without the need to change or adapt the machine height or the dosing platform. The
production of a doy style bag can be easily performed by turning the machine cross seal
jaws to a 90 degrees position. This reduces downtime during format change and increases
the overall performance of the equipment.
The SVI series is capable of performing multiple standard bag styles. For production of pillow bags, side gusseted bags and stand up block bottom bags, the operator simply changes the adjustable forming set. This flexibility allows shorter delivery times and offers producers a high variety of packaging styles for point-of-sale diversity. The series is designed to package an unlimited range of food and non-food products, such as powders, bakery and confectionery items, tea, coffee, fresh pasta, as well as pet food and non-food products such as detergents.
The SVI series consists of two machines for packaging different bag sizes and lengths: the SVI 4020 packages bag sizes at a maximum 600 mm in length, while the SVI 2620 performs bag sizes of up to 400 mm in length. Both machines have an output ranging from 10 to 120 bags per minute.
"The uniqueness of the SVI series is its combination of low machine height, bag format flexibility and versatile retrofitting capabilities," says Michael Gensheimer, Product Line Manager Vertical at Bosch Packaging Technology. "In addition, the series is the most cost-effective and competitive solution for customers looking to increase their production efficiency and differentiate their products at point-of-sale with a diverse choice of bag
shapes and styles."
The low entry SVI series is easily and economically upgradeable to accommodate vacuum belt film transport for higher production speeds. The cross sealing jaws can also be upgraded from pneumatic to servo, resulting in a higher sealing speed and a safe and reliable seal.
The flexible SVI series offers heatsealing and polysealing options, with freely adjustable sealing temperatures according to product specification. The various up- and downstream interfaces are part of Bosch’s modular machine design concept (Module ++), which allows the easy integration of dosing devices such as auger fillers, weighers, cup fillers or liquid pumps.
