High demand for plastics and rubber unabated on the Russian growth market
In Russia, the international plastics and rubber industry continues to enjoy ideal conditions. The country’s economy continues to grow and experts are predicting a further expansion of between five and seven percent for the current and coming year. Consumer-driven sectors, such as the automotive, construction, consumer goods and packaging industries, are undergoing especially dynamic development. They all share one common factor: brisk demand for plastics and rubber – for raw materials as well as processing machinery and semi-finished products.
This also translates into ideal conditions for INTERPLASTICA 2008, which is to be staged for the eleventh time in Moscow from 29 January to 1 February. Already, the International Trade Fair Plastics and Rubber is almost fully booked – some 450 exhibitors have confirmed their rental of over 10,500 square metres of net exhibition space. Overall, it’s expected that more than 500 companies will be showcased over a net area of around 12,000 square metres.
Focal product categories at INTERPLASTICA 2008 are machinery and equipment for the plastics and rubber industries, machines and equipment for pre-processing and recycling, tools and ancillary equipment, measuring, control and testing equipment, raw materials and auxiliaries, plastic and rubber products, logistics and materials handling as well as services. Visitors to INTERPLASTICA are professionals in the plastics processing and chemical, machine building as well as user industries.
Exhibitors from 18 countries so far have signed on to participate in INTERPLASTICA. Among them are companies from Austria, Belgium, China, the Czech Republic, Finland, Korea, Portugal, Romania, Taiwan and the UK which will showcase their products in Moscow. Numerous officially sponsored national participations have been registered, including for the first time from France and Turkey. Once again, the biggest contingents will come from Germany and Italy. Altogether about 120 German companies will occupy a net area of some 3,200 square metres while the Italian suppliers have claimed roughly 2,000 square metres, representing an expansion on last year. The host country, Russia, is home to around 100 exhibitors.
A new constellation of halls on the cutting-edge Moscow fairgrounds in Krasnaya Presnya has been allocated to INTERPLASTICA and promises to make the time at the fair even more comfortable for exhibitors and visitors. The event will be housed in Hall 1, the Hall Forum and the new Hall 8. Thanks to the halls’ proximity to each other and new covered walkways, getting from A to B should be easy for visitors.
Based on the close technical and thematic relationship, INTERPLASTICA will in 2008 once again be staged in tandem with UPAKOVKA / UPAK ITALIA. The International Trade Fair Machinery and Equipment for the Manufacture of Packaging, Packaging Machinery, Confectionery Machinery, Packaging and Packaging Aids, Logistics will set up shop in the complex of halls 2/1 to 2/3 directly adjacent to the INTERPLASTICA halls. Both events are being organised by Messe Düsseldorf GmbH in collaboration with its Russian subsidiary OOO Messe Düsseldorf Moscow.
